Shaklee for breastfeeding mommies

I was introduced to the trial pack for breasfeeding mommies by my good friend Puan Nurul Aula the first day i started working. I am always fascinated in being healthy and trying out new things, so why not? It doesn't hurt trying right? Plus i am passionate in breastfeeding and always strive to give the best to my daughter insyaAllah..

Before Shaklee

I used to be very exhausted and drained due to my baby constantly wakes up at night for feeding. As I mentioned before she's quite a drinker! So i'll wake up around 10am the earliest everyday during confinement. Apart from that, i pumped whenever i'm free to keep stocks, however the volume is standard, not too low not too high, because i am using a good pump which suits me. I ended up feeling tired and cranky at the end of the day. So i wonder, how would it be when i start working..i bet it would be worse. and i dread the thought about it!

After Shaklee

After 2 weeks of consuming the trial pack which includes Vitamin C, B complex, Vitalea and Alfalfa, i started to see the result. My volume of milk increases and it maintains even though i pumped 3 times a day. Even after my daughter's Subuh feeding i would get at least 7oz and could reach to 10 oz during the morning pumping session + 5 oz each at least during session #2 and #3. My milk colour is yellower compared to the previous ones and to my friends' due to the vitamins. Apart from that, i am very energetic during working hours and i don't feel sleepy or fatigue. My friends are my witness hehehe. As for my daughter she'll only wake up once for feeding or if she breastfeeds right before bedtime, she'll sleep all the way to the morning. It's also easier for me to put her to sleep. She's a happy baby now! She is also developing really well but not to the extend of obesity.

I know every baby has their own pace of development and everybody has different reactions towards vitamins. As for me alhamdulillah, Shaklee vitamins works excellent! Though i wasn't a keen vitamins consumer, the result of consuming these vitamins makes me an avid vitamin consumer hehehehe. Thanks to Aula for introducing me to Shaklee!! To others who wishes to try you can contact Aula at +60122522007 or visit her website http://www.aulawrites.blogspot.com/ . The trial pack is only rm80!

Rezeki Iris this morning, alhamdulillah...

p/s - not promoting because she's a good friend, but because it works for me and i want to share with you!

My routine

Hello semua...

To fullfil a friend of mine, Pial's request about my routine...here it goes...

5 am - Wakey-wakey, my natural alarm clock aka iris will normally wake up around this time
for feeding. Apart from that she normally merengek for milk at 3am.

5.30 am - Done feeding iris, changed her diaper and buk-buk her until she sleeps

5.45 am - Mummy mandi2, solat Subuh and siap2 to work

6.30 am - Prepare the EBM for the day and kiss2, play2 with Iris

6.45 am - Bye Iris, Mummy pegi keje ok.. ( I am staying in Puchong and works in KL, thus the
need to bangun awal and gerak awal )

7.45 am - Sampai ofis, letak barang and minum plain water ( nak pump better hydrate yourself)

8 am - #1 Pump session

8.30 am - Breakfast, take my vitamins and start working ( Drink lots of water in between)

12 noon - #2 Pump session

12.30 - Lunch

1.30 pm - Solat Zuhur

2 pm - Work and work

4 pm - #3 Pump session (The best is to pump 3 times a day to signal your body to produce
large amount of milk)

4.30 pm - Solat Asar

5 pm - Balik!

Normally i will pump one more time at night if my B is engorged. As for the EBM, i will prepare 3 bottles (4-5 oz) from yesterday's session plus 2 more ( 3-4 oz) from the stock prepared during confinement. This is to ensure Iris is getting enough nutrients, this is because EBM which were frozen longer time will lose some of it's nutrients, but still much better than formula.

So..that's basically my everyday routine. I follow this time religiously because if i do miss any of the timing, alamatnye balik lambat and lambat la jumpe my angel!

Haihh...macamane la mummy x rindu...

Kekurangan masa

I've started working a week ago, and i tell you it's difficult for me to manage my time. This is because i need to allocate pumping time for 3 times a day and every session normally takes half an hour. I have to start my day very early everyday now. Apart from waking up in the middle of the night for feeding, i will start my day at 5am. I need to arrange the frozen EBM (expressed breast milk) for the day and then i need to prepare my daughter apart from getting ready for work. Previously i doubt i have enough energy to last the day, but alhamdulillah...still standing strong y'all.
My EBM stock is still in abundance alhamdulillah. Everyday i manage to pump up to 15 oz (standard amount) and sometimes i can get more. I am not sure whether it's considered a lot or not but as for now it's enough for my daugthers' consumption. Now my best friend Aula supplied me with supplements from shaklee which she said could boost my energy and increase my milk supply. This morning i managed to pump 8-9 oz in 20 minutes, i guess the supplements helped, however i need to monitor still to be really sure or else i could be telling rumours hehehe.
Hubby is away to Oman and kesian him, he is currently down with chicken pox (apela dah tua2 baru kene). I think it's better for him to be there rather than here, or else nanti baby plak infected kan..hmm...take care dear, we miss you a lot! Looking forward to our webcam session everyday!

Rindu

Tu la gambar anak aku, Iris Afrina yang dalam perut ibunya sebelum ini. bile lahir, memang muka mcm tu. comel sgt. lagi2 bile die ckp "wuku". aku sendiri tak tahu ape maksud "wuku" dlm bahasa die tapi bile aku ckp "wuku" balik, die balas balik. sekarang ni aku kat oman and aku rindu sgt isteri aku and anak aku. padahal baru 1 hari aje kat sini. lama lagi ni nak buat keje kat sini. nasib baik la cuaca sini tak sepanas masa aku dtg dulu.winter sejuk skit. aku sedang kelaparan sebab tak breakfast lagi. kalau kat msia, time ni la aku beli breakfast nasi lemak or mee goreng untuk keluarga aku. pagi2 tgk tv dgn dieorg. wah,rindunya.....
